I had a huge reading spree of Science Fiction between 15 and 20 years
ago. Falling in love with my wife who was reading a lot of contemporary
sci fi writers did the trick.

Since that time, I haven't read anything and I've noticed when I read people's lists
of their favorite sci fi that frequently, many of the recommendations are at least 15 years
old or older.

Faced with a long plane trip to Europe and back I wrote to LoopersDelight, the live looping forum that I'm on
and requested people's recommendations for good sci fi that is specifically within the last ten years.

The following list was culled together by these sci fi enthusiasts that populate that very intelligent
and educated list. I thought it might be cool to post it for everyone's amusement and that it might also
get people to recommend cool books that didn't make this particular list.

Here goes. It would be great to have feedback and other suggestions.

I'm reading one myself that didn't make the list that I"m loving:

Robert Charles Wilson's SPIN
